Fashion and art collided last night at a special Vivienne Westwood fashion show. 'Chaos Point: Vivienne Westwood Gold Label AW 08/09' saw the maverick fashion icon join forces with Mark Stephenson of London Musici. Together they created a spectacular catwalk show involving performance artists and a live showpiece by the London Musici orchestra. Held at the Banqueting House at Whitehall Palace, the event attracted the likes of Eva Herzigova, Claudia Schiffer, who was wearing vintage Westwood, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Tracey Emin and Jasmine Guinness. Also putting in an appearance was Jerry Hall, accompanied by red lipstick-wearing daughters Georgia May Jagger and Elizabeth Jagger. One of the evening's hosts was Nigella Lawson, who ensured that all eyes were on her by wearing a traffic stopping, cleavage enhancing, scarlet Westwood gown. At the event Westwood showed her Gold Label Collection, to the accompaniment of solo violinist Charlie Siem and dancers Fernando Montano and Romany Pajdak from the Royal Ballet.

Chris Brown, Rihanna and Kanye West were the big winners at last night's American Music Awards in Los Angeles. Brown scooped the top Artist of the Year award as well as the Favourite Male Artist awards in both the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories. Brown's girlfriend Rihanna was similarly awarded the title of Favourite Female Artist for both the pop/rock and soul/R&B sections. Meanwhile, West was named Favourite Rap/Hip-hop Artist to go with his Favourite Rap/Hip-hop Album award for his 'Graduation' CD. However, the American Music Awards are all about the performances on the night and last night was no exception. Rihanna donned her now-familiar S&M gear of chains leather corset to perform her love ballad, 'Rehab'. There were also vibrant sets from Miley Cyrus, Pink, The Jonas Brothers, Coldplay, the Pussycat Dolls, Annie Lennox, Ne-Yo, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and New Kids On The Block. All winners were chosen by fans who voted online.
This is seriously good on her. Wear it again, Pink!

The stars of 'Young Victoria', a film about one of Britain's greatest monarchs, were joined on the purple carpet last night for the film's premiere by actual royalty. The night was given a suitably regal atmosphere thanks to the presence of Sarah, Duchess of York, who co-produced the royal biopic, and her two daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. The trio braved the wet and windy weather to attend the film's premiere in London's Leicester Square. They were joined by the film's stars Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend, who play the characters of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Friend's girlfriend Keira Knightley, co-stars Miranda Richardson and Jim Broadbent, and actors Bill Nighy and Sir Ben Kingsley, were all also in attendance. 'Young Victoria' charts Victoria's ascension to the throne, focussing on her early turbulent years and her marriage to Prince Albert.
This dress is very charming -- although, and I can't believe I'm about to say this, she might have TOO MANY accessories.
