Viola and Lashana both got custom frocks, and Viola definitely got the better end of that deal. Hers is more interesting. Lashana's, I feel like I've seen before -- it comes across very much like a template, and the craftsmanship is lesser. Thuso's dress is like fancy Braille. Sheila's is really fun and dramatic (Lashana may wish she'd gotten to it first), and John looks delightful in that royal purple. What a cast. Bring it on.

I am not sure what I make of this. I might EITHER want the feathers at her waist, or the whole thing to be what the top is? The pattern on her boobs looks very hypnotizing.

Viola also produced this movie (alongside Maria Bello, apaparently?!?), and to walk the carpet for it with her family -- on a night when she was lauded for both her work on-screen and off -- must have been absolutely thrilling. What a moment (and a great dress) for her daughter.
