Event-planning-wise, it's such a terrible choice when you KNOW half this town will wear black either on their bodies or feet, and it'll all just melt together. I like the minidress on her, though. This is a dress that prompted her to "clap back," as they say, at people on Instagram who used it as a chance to rag on her body. Good for her. Look, I think it's a nice dress if it were lined, and no, the visible nipples aren't and never will be my thing. I think it detracts from the clothes. But while the point of this website is to knock on celebrity outfit choices, we're goofing around for fun and she should do whatever she wants. And this is what she wanted. I liked the poise with which she handled the idiots, and hereafter, she wore a lot more overt stuff like this on red carpets. Which feels like a response as well -- like she's saying, "Nice try, Internet, but it didn't work."

All of this makes sense to me except the clodhoppers. Well, the jeans aren't great, but the idea of popping over to Paris in denim, a great blazer, and sunnies is extremely appealing.

Here is her infamous late arrival in Venice, looking believably like she wore these as PJs on a plane and then tossed on matching sandals. It's ridiculous, but I did laugh at the CHILL of it all, knowing she was walking into the Don't Worry Darling tornado (which had begun without her an hour earlier).

This dress answers the question, "What if we married a ball gown off to a pair of hotpants?" Those shoes don't work for me with this; the feathers interfere too much. Statement shoes maybe don't need to be deployed with a dress that's speaking this loudly.

Overall, I do not think this is as lovely as it thinks it is, or even as she might think it is. And while she can wrangle it, I think other gowns she wore specifically for wrangling purposes work better.

As I've noted probably a hundred times, Florence and Simone Ashley share a stylist and I often think she does a grievous disservice to both of them. Maybe SHE is the one obsessed with sheers? BORING.

The vibe here is, "My mother bought me this suit for when we leave the wedding for our honeymoon."

I LOVE this green jumpsuit on her. So much better than the Casablanca one with the keyhole.

This really made me laugh, and then I noticed one boot is white but the suit itself is... more tan? And I got majorly annoyed, because it interrupts the effect.

So this is the big one that people LOVED, and my feeling is: I dislike the component parts. It KIND OF feels the Mulleavys asked some A.I. what a little kid would design, and this is what it spat out. But it really helps that Florence is so good at Working It, and where her skyscraper-high confidence comes into play. She can hold all of this, and make sense of it.

As you saw on the main post, she wore a pink lacy Rodarte off the runway before she wore this custom one, and I guess they picked up on what she likes. It's very Boudoir Shoot For My Fancy Boyfriend.
