I love this on Reese (it's the most recent of these looks). Zac Posen is supposedly, allegedly, having some trouble as a company, but this does the label proud -- it's a tremendous color on her, and it gives her such an awesome hourglass shape. You have to have a major body to pull it off, though -- all that detailing, on a normal figure (say, mine), would accentuate a lot of parts we would rather hide. On her, I'm loving it. When they make GFY: The Movie (Lifetime, obviously), I want her to play me. Which is a SERIOUS case of self-aggrandizement, but whatever. Let me have the pipe dream. She just seems so normal - look, a Band-Aid on her foot! Stars: They're Just Like Us: They Also F Up Their Feet Sometimes.

This Stella McCartney thrills me way less. Where the Posen's detailing gracefully hugged her curves, this squeezes them into oblivion, like wringing out a washcloth. It's a horrible fit, and I personally don't love sleeves designed to look like they're falling off -- as if Reese can't be sexy unless you think her shirt might slip down. Boo, Stella. BOO. Also: Detective Me has noticed the Band-Aid is there, so we're now on the hunt for the pair of shoes that might have caused it.

BINGO. No Band-Aid! Are these the culprits, since we're kinda going in reverse-chronological order? As for the dress, it's pretty, it fits nicely... it's not as interesting to me as the first one, but at least it's not abusing her like the second one did. Girlfriend REALLY loves that neckline, though.

This is a modified take on the same neckline, a red Giambattista Valli with one toga sleeve. It comes off a bit more matronly than I prefer on her, but overall she still looks nice, if a lot more daytime than at the other premieres. I'm also not sure which premiere came first, this or the black dress, so maybe THESE shoes are the guilty parties. Then again, maybe she didn't get it from a shoe at all. Maybe she just cut her foot while shaving, or something. I don't know her life.

This has nothing to do with any neckline rut at all. I just love the coat, AND how it looks with the booties. Reese does everyday casual SO WELL. And her hair looks great. Maybe THAT is the real rut here: Reese suffers from the tragic problem of consistently awesome hair. How painful that must be.

Sigh. I miss coats. I need a nice, frosty May cold snap in Los Angeles. Please?

[Thematically Played, Reese WitherspoonReese and Rob are off hawking Water For Elephants -- the movie, of course, although I assume they also support keeping our planet's pachyderms properly hydrated. And Reese seems to have picked a theme, and that theme is, Modified Sweetheart Necklines.
