Look at this muffin! These photos were taken by Kate, at Kensington Palace -- [on the same front steps where George posed for *his* first day of school snaps](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/prince-george-first-day-of-school-09-2017/), which will add a really appealing continuity to her gallery wall of First Day of School Through The Years pics.

> The images were taken by The Duchess shortly before Princess Charlotte left for her first day of nursery at the Willcocks Nursery School.

First of all, her cozy little scarf is KILLING me. Secondly, I deeply appreciate that she brought her backpack with her (as did [George for his own first day of nursery school photos](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/prince-george-preschool-01-2016/); a post wherein I complained Kate didn't pose the kids on the front steps, so HELLO KATE and thanks for listening). And this child is clearly DELIGHTED to be popping off to school and can we blame her? There are *so many* new people there to listen to her new ideas about unified field theory, and also different snacks.
