I used to complain that country music -- as a genre -- had too many awards shows. And, truly, it has so many: The ACMs, the CMTs, the CMAs, the ACAs the CMHs, and the ACMAs, and yes I made a few of those up just now. But I have come to *embrace* this. Why was I resisting having more opportunities to talk about people's spangled get-ups and interesting hats? Why was I so ungrateful? What was wrong with me? What a sad sack I was to resist the lure of the country music awards show circuit! Look, for example, at all these SASSY PANTS!
