Yesterday, we were confounded by [Tessa Thompson's outfit](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/a-year-ago-tessa-thompson-befuddled-us-thusly-06-2020/) and her bizarre decorative or too-high belt loops. In that vein, here is a 14-year old photo of Keira Knightley wearing another decorative and too-high belt whose primary existential purpose -- to hold up pants -- is right there, mere inches away, for the claiming... and yet instead it's been called into service only to give her ribs a hug. Poor Belt. Was she upset with it? Or did it just need a vacation day? Maybe this was Belt's Summer Friday, where it got to see the town for one glorious outing without having to worry about whatever nonsense Pants had planned. I hope it enjoyed itself.
