Had I not said "island of misfit toys," you might have thought, "Stuffed Animal Circus."

It all hits that much harder when you see the army of teddies watching the show.

Reader, I cackled.

I mean, this IS a realistically tailored blazer, I guess? So, had to use the slideshow on Vogue's site to put these in order, and I think they might have rearranged the images to pair each "realistic" outfit with its fantastical companion piece. Because the review -- and the outfits you can see in the background of some photos -- make it seem like it WAS more cleanly split into 24 and 24, but this has a back-and-forth flow. Anyway, that's my explanation.

The purses are so cute, though. I love the orange and blue, and in the piping as well.

The differences in SOME of these tend to be the makeup and head-styling, more than anything else.

I have a theory that the arms and hands are fake.

I had to download these and then arrange them, so when I was hunting for photos, I had to nickname a lot of them in order to remember the key features. This one was Wool Intestine Coat.

This is the photo where you can see that things were presented differently on this runway than on Vogue's site. I sort of appreciate the back-and-forth, though? It's interesting to see an outfit next to its weirder version.

Like, say, this one, which I think is an ode to the bubonic plague.

I am going to have nightmares about some of the makeup, which is very Joker.

Many of the models are wearing these building-block shoes, by the way.

I thought that was a random green pustule, until I figured out this whole run-of-show situation and realized that's just part of the dress two slides over from here.

I am surprised the wacky toy soldier wasn't the closing look.

These three, by the way, weren't in the Vogue slideshow at ALL. I don't know where they fit in, or what they were doing, but they feel like the Thom Browne version of the accountants at the Oscars who come out to reassure you that they counted everything themselves.
