This feels very '90s glam. Brenda Walsh would have loved it. I liked it better when I saw the closeup -- but in thumbnail size -- and thought she had weird green fronds poking out of it.
It's obviously just the backdrop, but for a second, and when it was small... well, I dared to hope.

Nico is the child of Thandiwe Newton and Ol Parker, who wrote and directed this. (I'm sure it's strange timing for them all that his movie about a divorced couple is coming out so recently after he and Thandiwe split.) I probably did not need to tell you she's related to Thandiwe, because... look at her face.
Ripley Parker
Ripley is one of their other two children, and had a screenplay optioned by Netflix. Big doings in the Parker house, where I assume they also serve rolls. (That is potentially a VERY niche carbohydrates joke, for anyone who does not pay attention to American breads.)
