I'm surprised Salma Hayek didn't call dibs on it first. It isn't... disastrous on her? It could be, so easily. (It would have been on Salma.) The boots are so heavy with it, and it has a stuffy quality that Ruth herself absolutely does not; I want her in something more youthful. Worse, the necklace is misplaced there. It's ridiculous. Almost as if her contract stipulated that she had to wear one but she forgot to leave room for it, so they just... threw it on over her collar.

Ruth really should have given her neckwear to Reese. This is the cousin to Blake's green jumpsuit, and y'all, Blake's fit better. Why is this bodice so low? This all seems very last-minute somehow.

Well it's not the worst Monse I've ever seen. But their obsession with folds often comes across more sloppily than I think they mean it.

This is pretty, but rather more of a ball gown than most people went with -- not that it matters, but I wonder if she got there and was like, "Dammit, I blew my skirt wad on the wrong party." The angle here might be to blame for why it looks like it's stiffly constructed.

We also need to talk about her hair. It's not working. And actually, I think she can totally carry short hair; just not perhaps THIS short hair. It's less a particular style than it is Hair That Somehow Got To Be Shorter Than It Once Was. As if she went straight to the grow-out phase and forgot to enjoy a good cut first.
