The Brits struck movie gold at last night’s opening event of the Hollywood Award season. Kate Winslet picked up gongs for both Best Actress (‘Revolutionary Road’) and Best Supporting Actress (‘The Reader’), while Sally Hawkins won the Best Actress in a musical or comedy award (for ‘Happy-Go-Lucky’) and Danny Boyle scooped both Best Director and Best Film award for his acclaimed India-set drama, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. Others celebrated included Mickey Rourke, whose comeback to Hollywood was crowned by his winning Best Actor for ‘The Wrestler’, the late Heath Ledger (Best Supporting Actor) for his role as the Joker in Batman film ‘The Dark Knight’ and Irishman Colin Farrell, whose comedic talents were recognised for his role in comedy ‘In Bruges’, for which he received the Best Actor in a musical / comedy award. Tom Wilkinson won Best Supporting Actor for TV drama ‘John Adams’.
This is a teeny bit shapeless, but I like her necklace choice, at least.

Amy looks better with a softer blonde shade, and I think that would have helped this on her, too. Tina's dress color is awesome. The dress itself is good but seems more cumbersome than she typically likes.

This was the first year they hosted. Tina's dress leaves me stone cold, but Amy absolutely killed it in the tux. I would lament that she didn't wear it all night...

Mercifully they both changed, although Tina's was a thud for me AGAIN -- it's like a cousin of the red-carpet thud; a whole family of meh -- while Amy's is fantastic. The necklace is *chef's kiss*.
