# I Almost Bought Tina Fey's J.Crew Shirt

I've talked about this on GFY many many times, but I am the sort of person who likes to create a Halloween costume out of stuff she has in her own closet. Because I am a hoarder, this is not that difficult. And one year, I went as Liz Lemon. It was VERY VERY easy, given that Liz Lemon and I owned the exact same J.Crew gingham button-down top. I just bought some reading glasses and made my Cheetos into a bag of Sabor de Soledad. It was....perhaps *too* easy, and that is something probably I needed to take into my heart for some life contemplation. But here my question today: Is it a step forward for me as a person that while I once owned the same top as Liz Lemon, a lady whose greatest love was cheese, I recently came very close to purchasing [the exact J.Crew top that Tina Fey, a talented rich person, is wearing to this event](https://rstyle.me/n/c74cnecfjyp?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)? (I stopped myself because I decided that I have too many whimsical shirts, and also I already own pants with tigers on them, and that was too many tiger-related outfits. Then I went and bought [the dress version, "because I don't have enough dresses](https://rstyle.me/n/c74cq5cfjyp?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)." WHAT. I'm crazy. I'm sure it's going back unless I can come up with a reason between now and when it arrives that I NEED a silk shirt-dress covered in tigers. Come on, Jessica. You're a professional writer. You can DO THIS. THERE HAS TO BE A REASON.)

ANYWAY. Tina looks totally cute in that top, which manages to have a *reasonable* amount of whimsy, and the rest of her body also looks like it was dressed by a normal person:
