What a great choice. Is it pants, is it a gown? It's BOTH, or maybe neither, and gleefully and gorgeously so. It's also a splendid not to the costuming of their character in Some Like It Hot.

The great Audra was nominated for a leading role in a play, and did not win, and I am not enamored of this dress. So that's two bummers. But, she's a legend and the most decorated performer ever to do it, so she's going to slay it another day.

Also, Audra's husband is this very very good-looking man.

She was up for Featured Actress, for Some Like It Hot, and like so many folks had to go up and perform after she didn't win. All credit to them all for how hard that must be. The lace sleeve is not for me -- it looks like a creeping illness coming for the rest of the dress -- but the color is great and she's fab.

Sadly I don't know who this is with Christian, as googling "Christian Borle dating" gives you a LOT of religious-based matchmaking sites. He is J. Harrison Ghee's co-lead in Some Like It Hot, and I'm sure he's very good as he is in everything, but there can be only one winner. He seemed to have a gas anyway. But... this tux isn't quite right, is it? The bow tie being so big always looks goofy to me, even though I know it's a common style, but the pants also seem a bit bunchy at the bottom.

LaTanya directed the production of The Piano Lesson for which SLJ was nominated, and as her sleeves are the focal point here maybe I should have put them in green? Oh well. He looks very nice.

I am not sure how I feel about the bodice that looks like two seashells, or... like elaborately eyelashed eyes about to bat themselves at us.

She won for Kimberly Akimbo, which had a big night. She looks super, and her jewels are MAJOR, and perfectly coordinated with the gown. Hopefully she'll go on tour with it. Come to the Pantages, Victoria!
