She looks wonderful in this. Sometimes Zac Posen gets it so weirdly wrong, but then when he gets it RIGHT, it's peerless.

This dress is... very Michelle Williams, in color scheme, anyway. I can't say I'm fond of the design, with the squiggly front seam and the central slit, but can we give a hearty three cheers for her keeping the darker blonde hair and picking that divine lipstick? Her head saves the day.

Megan's dress is... intense, in the Cleavage Basket department, but she does look rather grand in it anyway. She and Leslie Odom both went from Smash to being Tony nominated. They are the phoenixes, and that glorious trainwreck of a show is the ashes. (Philippa Soo was also briefly on it, I believe, and now Katharine McPhee has a hit CBS show -- come to think of it, where was SHE on her network's broadcast?!? -- and Will Chase is on Nashville and Debra Messing's horrible son was in "Brooklyn"... that show had a LOT of phoenixes, it seems.)

She's looked better, but she's also a Tony winner now, so mark me: She does not care how the dress looked. (I saw her in Long Day's Journey Into Night in London in 2000 or thereabouts, and she was fantastic as Mary Tyrone then. Also that play is aptly named. It is a LONG journey.)

She won for 'The Humans,' which I wish I'd seen when I was in NYC. It stars Eli Gold's daughter Marissa (aka Sarah Steele)! What was I thinking?

She's like, "Yes, that's right, I was in Misery with Bruce Willis. That is a thing that happened, which no one will remember but me. Including possibly Bruce." She looks cool, though.

I ALSO think this is nifty. (Ms. Martin, btw, was nominated along with Hilty for "Noises Off." Which I hope will somehow convince them both to come to LA for a short run.) In fact, I'm chipper a lot more than usual about nearly everyone. Did Anna Wintour's second attempt to spiff up the Tonys actually WORK?
