I am about 95 percent of the way on board here, but I wish I couldn't see so much dishwater-brown backing. It's a small thing, though; not small is how stunning she is, and her voice in her performance from "She Loves Me" was out of this world. Her talent is boundless. She's one of those performers whom I find radiates warmth and likability in basically all situations.

## Jessie Mueller in Christian Siriano

Jessie won for playing Carole King in 2014, and was up again for "Waitress," which we didn't get to see in NYC because it was sold out. (Yay! I'm pleased every time a show sells out that isn't Hamilton, because it goes to show that there is room for everyone.) I wish her skirt were fully lined, but her makeup is softly wonderful.

## Carmen Cusack

Carmen is up for "Bright Star," which is the Steve Martin/Edie Brickell musical. It hasn't been very well reviewed, I don't think? Wait, maybe it HAS, but it just isn't doing well and is expected to close. That might be it. But she sang beautifully on the telecast.

Those shoes are killer. The dress is three potentially great fabrics that might not make one great dress.

I'm loving all the shots of people in motion at this thing. Her dress is ADORABLE and so captivating. (She was a featured performer nominee for Shuffle Along.)

## Danielle Brooks in Derek Lam

Danielle "Taystee" Brooks was up for her featured role in "The Color Purple." She sounded great in the bits and bobs that we heard. This dress is not as triumphant, to me. I actually don't mind the top part, but the skirt got ruined. Someone on Twitter called for a steaming station on the red carpet and that person is correct.

## Jennifer Simard

Jennifer was nominated for her role as "a nun with a drinking problem" in the musical Disaster, which sounds like it was aptly titled. But she WAS apparently hilarious in it, and that green is resplendent, so GOOD ON YOU.

## Jane Krakowski in Michael Kors

This is one of the better Kors confections we've seen in a while. Obviously I would have put a bracelet with this, but she looks slick, and DID YOU SEE her section of "She Loves Me"? She drops into a split and then gets dragged a ways. ZOIKS. It was amazing.

## Zachary Levi and Jane Krakowski

I saw this photo and could not decide if I wanted them to be a) secretly dating, or b) secretly hissing the most crass and grievous of insults at each other. And, as Twitter pointed out to me in droves, the best answer might be BOTH. The love/hate line is very thin, after all.
