(Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images) Jeremy came dressed as Hercule Poirot on safari, and now I hope that's his next theatrical performance. ## Rachel McAdams, lead in a play, Mary Jane ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151123880-1714681509.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: Rachel McAdams attends the 2024 Tony Awards Nominees event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images) It's not... my favorite? I can't tell if the shirt is silvery or pale blue, or just white rendered on a different fabric. A SLIGHTLY stronger color to contrast would have helped. ## Gayle Rankin and Eddie Redmayne, leads in a musical, Cabaret ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151127099-1714681522.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: (L-R) Gayle Rankin and Eddie Redmayne attend the 2024 Tony Awards Nominees event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images) I got hoodwinked by all the gushing UK reviews and one or two early gushing US reviews; apparently a lot of other people really hate this version, which may make a nomination a BIT bittersweet. Or not. Eddie's sweater makes me laugh and Gayle's dress is... just a bit of a mess overall. ## Tom Scutt, Isabella Byrd, Bebe Neuwirth, Eddie Redmayne, Gayle Rankin, Steven Skybell and Adam Speers ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151127955-1714681498.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: (L-R) Tom Scutt, Isabella Byrd, Bebe Neuwirth, Eddie Redmayne, Gayle Rankin, Steven Skybell and Adam Speers attends the 77th Annual Tony Awards Meet The Nominees Press Event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Jemal Countess/Getty Images for Tony Awards Productions) Steven Skybell (second from right) and Bebe Neuwirth were nominated for their featured roles -- which is basically the Tonys version of "supporting" -- and the whole show also received a nod. Bebe looks terribly cool. ## Leslie Odom, Jr., lead, and Kara Young, featured, in the musical Purlie Victorious ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151112491-1714681931.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: (L-R) Leslie Odom Jr. and Kara Young attend the 2024 Tony Awards Nominees event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images) FYI, someone in the comments the other day noted Purlie will be on PBS on May 24\. I set an alarm on my phone for the day before to look at the listings and record it. Whee! Kara's suit is silkscreened with the face of Ruby Dee, who originated their role on Broadway in the sixties. Ruby's hubby, the actor Ossie Davis, wrote the play, and this is only the second Broadway run of it. ## Kecia Lewis, featured in a musical, Hell's Kitchen ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151153409-1714681223.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: Kecia Lewis attends the 77th Annual Tony Awards Meet The Nominees Press Event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Jemal Countess/Getty Images for Tony Awards Productions) What a FABULOUS print. Wow. And her bright shoes with it are spicy. ## Sarah Paulson and Corey Stoll, lead and featured in a play, Appropriate ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151138507-1714681418.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: (L-R) Sarah Paulson and Corey Stoll attend the 2024 Tony Awards Nominees event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images) She cracks me up. ## Alicia Keys and Maleah Joi Moon, Hell's Kitchen ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151154471-1714681240.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: (L-R) Alicia Keys and Maleah Joi Moon attend the 77th Annual Tony Awards Meet The Nominees Press Event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Jemal Countess/Getty Images for Tony Awards Productions) Alicia did the music for Hell's Kitchen, and Maleah is its lead actress. Alicia looks bright and cool, even with the bra; I wish Maleah's didn't look like expensive scrubs. ## Liev Schreiber, lead actor, Doubt ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151153312-1714681254.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: Liev Schreiber attends the 77th Annual Tony Awards Meet The Nominees Press Event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Jemal Countess/Getty Images for Tony Awards Productions) I have SOME doubt, I guess? ## Shoshana Bean, featured, Hell's Kitchen ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151151140-1714681269.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: Shoshana Bean attends the 2024 Tony Awards Nominees event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images) Those little slit pockets in the front always make me think something is on backward. ## Joshua Boone (featured), Sky Lakota-Lynch (featured), and Brody Grant, lead, in The Outsiders (musical) and a lead in a musical, The Outsiders ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2150574547-1714681977.jpg) Joshua Boone, Sky Lakota-Lynch and Brody Grant at the Tony Awards Meet the Nominees press junket held at the Sofitel New York on May 2, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Jemal Countess/Getty Images for Tony Awards Productions) Celia adds another Tony nomination to the cast of The Gilded Age. How is it possible Jessica Lange hasn't popped by that show yet? Can Agnes and Ada have a long-lost relative? ## William Jackson Harper, lead, Uncle Vanya ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151145368-1714681324.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: William Jackson Harper attends the 2024 Tony Awards Nominees event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images) CHIDI!!!! ## Quincy Tyler Bernstine, featured in a play, Doubt ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151144059-1714681339.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: Quincy Tyler Bernstine attends the 2024 Tony Awards Nominees event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. Nobody misbehave! ## Daniel Radcliffe (featured), Lindsay Mendez (featured), Jonathan Groff (lead), Merrily We Roll Along ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151139727-1714681381.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: (L-R) Daniel Radcliffe, Lindsay Mendez, and Jonathan Groff attend the 2024 Tony Awards Nominees event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images) They are just the best. ## Amy Ryan, lead in a play, Doubt ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151142452-1714681391.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: Amy Ryan attends the 77th Annual Tony Awards Meet The Nominees Press Event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Jemal Countess/Getty Images for Tony Awards Productions) That dress is very, very pretty. Also, thanks to Only Murders in the Building, I can't look at her now without thinking of bassoons. ## Roger Bart, lead actor in a musical, Back to the Future ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151135254-1714681405.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: Roger Bart attends the 77th Annual Tony Awards Meet The Nominees Press Event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Jemal Countess/Getty Images for Tony Awards Productions) He is still bringing a little bit of that Doc Brown wildness to the proceedings. ## Brandon Victor Dixon, featured, Hell's Kitchen ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151134558-1714681442.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: Brandon Victor Dixon attends the 2024 Tony Awards Nominees event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images) This is beautiful and he wears it SO well. ## Eden Espinosa, lead actress in a musical, Lempicka ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151134706-1714681456.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: Eden Espinosa attends the 2024 Tony Awards Nominees event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images) This is fine? It's courthouse-wedding-adjacent. ## Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer, featured in a musical, Spamalot ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151132408-1714681470.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: Leslie Kritzer attends the 2024 Tony Awards Nominees event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images) That's a great color. ## Dorian Harewood (lead), Bekah Brunstetter (author)and Maryann Plunkett (lead) in The Notebook (musical) ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151133685-1714681485.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: (L-R) Dorian Harewood, Bekah Brunstetter and Maryann Plunkett attend the 77th Annual Tony Awards Meet The Nominees Press Event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Jemal Countess/Getty Images for Tony Awards Productions) I have read NOTHING about The Notebook, but it's really interesting to me if the musical is written with the two older characters as the leads -- I would not describe the movie that way. ## Adam Guettel (music), Kelli O'Hara (lead), and Brian d'Arcy James (lead) in Days of Wine and Roses (musical) ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151121494-1714681535.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: (L-R) Adam Guettel, Kelli O'Hara and Brian d'Arcy James attend the 2024 Tony Awards Nominees event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images) AND with Kelli here, we have ANOTHER Tony nod for The Gilded Age cast -- and if the buzz is right, maybe another Tony, period. She looks lovely. Everyone here seems delightful. ## Betsy Aidem, lead in a play, Prayer for the French Republic ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151121562-1714681548.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: Betsy Aidem attends the 2024 Tony Awards Nominees event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Michael Loccisano/Getty Images) I sort of see where this was going, but it just looks like the jacket shrank. ## Juliana Canfield, featured in a play, Stereophonic ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2150574693-1714681946.jpg) Juliana Canfield at the Tony Awards Meet the Nominees press junket held at the Sofitel New York on May 2, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Kristina Bumphrey/Variety via Getty Images) This is forgettable, but whatever, she'll have bigger parties later. ## Will Brill, featured in a play, Stereophonic ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2151135206-1714681429.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 02: Will Brill attends the 77th Annual Tony Awards Meet The Nominees Press Event at Sofitel New York on May 02, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Jemal Countess/Getty Images for Tony Awards Productions) All the Stereophonic actors -- they play a 70s rock band -- put themselves in as featured performers. They're a rock band. The songs got nominated for score even though this is a play and they're never performed in full. INTRIGUING. Anyway, I think the 70s setting accounts for a lot of the vibes here. ## Eli Gelb, featured in a play, Stereophonic ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/05/GettyImages-2150574705-1714681961.jpg) Eli Gelb at the Tony Awards Meet the Nominees press junket held at the Sofitel New York on May 2, 2024 in New York City.
