Let me just announce, with complete certainty, that I *will* go see this movie. *Top Gun* was VERY influential for Gen X; no movie was watched more obsessively at slumber parties when I was in junior high. (*Dirty Dancing* a close second, of course.) Additionally: Tom Cruise arrived at this event via literal helicopter, which is very chill and relaxed, as is his wont. I am surprised he wasn't piloting it. Anyway, Alexa, play "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins! Who *was* present, although Val Kilmer -- who *does* reprise his role as Iceman!!! -- was not. Ed Harris also chose to do something else last night. Maybe they were hanging out!
