This screening was held on the USS Midway there in San Diego, which is obviously perfect for the event. Also it would have been trickier for Tom Cruise to land a helicopter in the middle of Hollywood Blvd.

Tom Cruise

It cannot be denied that Tom Cruise is a Movie Star, capital letters required. I feel like every time I see him in a movie now, I just think, "yeah, he IS really good at this?" God, in Top Gun: Original Flavor he just like INSANELY charismatic.

Tom Cruise

His suit fits perfectly; his dermatologist continues to earn her fee. This all is an A+ effort.

Jennifer Connelly in Louis Vuitton

This is FANTASTIC on her; she's playing Maverick's love interest and I'm pleased that, in the absence of Kelly McGillis, Mav has a very age-appropriate girlfriend and not, like....Kendall Jenner. She looks great.

Jennifer Connelly, Paul Bettany

In case you were wondering if Paul Bettany attended, he did!

Rachel McAdams

As did Rachel McAdams, even though she is not in the movie. Is Rachel McAdams just a big fan of Top Gun? I do not dispute that choice. It was very windy in this local, and her dress's tail really made the most of this outing.

Jon Hamm and Anna Osceola

Anna Osceola must be tall! Jon Hamm is not a short man. (Internet says he's 6'1 and I've stood next to him and that seems right-ish? Maybe a little shorter but he's like Actual Tall, not just Actor Tall.) Anyway, they look nice! I can't wait until we're far enough away from Mad Men for Jon Hamm to get back to dressing like Don Draper again.

Miles Teller

THIS, actually, is rather Don Draper-y. He looks good! He is perfect casting for a cocky fighter pilot.

Monica Barbaro

If she weren't so backlit, we wouldn't be able to see so much of the inner construction of this skirt; that's not a complaint, just an observation. She looks good!

Jay Ellis

He is a HANDSOME MAN. This is quite sharp.

Raymond Lee

I feel like this outfit perfectly coordinates with our logo and that kind of flattery will get you everywhere.

Glen Powell

This is slick, too.

Keleigh Sperry

I am having sympathy foot pain -- those heels are high!

Manny Jacinto, right, and Dianne Doan

Well! They both look fantastic. I've missed his cheekbones.

Charles Parnell

I don't have a full shot of Charles Parnell, but I assure you he is wearing proper trousers and looks quite dashing.

Jake Picking

I GET the desire for the leather jacket for this premiere but I feel like it doesn't totally work with the pinstripes?

Jean Louisa Kelly

It's nice to see Jean Louisa Kelly out and about again, AND I appreciate the blazer on the person behind her.

Lewis James Pullman

This is a good deployment of the bolo tie and I don't say that every time I see a bolo tie!

Kara Wang

WELL! This dress is CUTE. Full marks.

Kenny Loggins

And, of course, two thumbs way up for Mr. Loggins!

Top Gun: Maverick FINALLY Premiered Last Night

Talk to me, Goose!
