Here's a good example of context. I don't love this dress. But I DO think this entire thing fits very much who Drew Barrymore is, and in that way it's very endearing.

Stronger lip, maybe? But I like it.

Well, what do you know. This is actually quite good on her. I don't TOTALLY understand what's happening with the sleeves, but there are lots of things in life I cannot hope to comprehend.

Very elegant; very much like something I feel I've seen a hundred times before.

That is a HARD color to sell, and she's coming closer than I expected.

This is a very easy color to wear, and she's doing it nicely. But I could not wear this dress without sweat stains. I don't know how people do it. We've discussed Kim K possibly getting armpit botox to curb the sweating. Do they ALL?

She looks good in this, empirically, but the whole Hot Redness of the look feels a little like she's going to a Jem and the Holograms concert.

That suit color is a bit awkward. The blouse is GREAT. They're interesting together; I think the blouse is giving the suit life, but the suit might be robbing from the blouse's splendor. That suit, basically, might be a succubus.

I rather like this outfit on her, but I wish she were still blonde. It suits her better -- I'm sure this is for a role -- and I think that would've made this a slam-dunk for me. Still, it's a good look. Intriguing but not so risky as to appear inept.

As we scroll down, we shriek, 'BURN THOSE PANTS.' Well, I do, anyway.

This, I like. And because it's all dark and dramatic, it made me think, "Whither Rooney?" The answer: Rooney is in that Pan movie that's coming out, for which I just saw a preview, and WHOA NELLY it looks like a clearance-rack CGI mess. This dress, however, is not, which brings us back to Kate, who might need to grow out that hair soon. But I like this better than most of what Rooney wears and this slide is officially all over the place.

And then Ethan Hawke's beard showed up, and surprised even Ethan Hawke.
