This feel right on target for this event, to me. It's over the top and fun and ever so slightly absurd. (You don't go small when you're getting a fashion icon award.)

Blake looks great in that suit, actually -- this is exactly what a celebrity boyfriend wears when the event is not at all about him. (I selfishly wish Gwen had gone back to her iconic red lip, just for the night, for this, but twas not to be.) (Whoops, I just read that they also gave Blake the country music award. Well, still. A sense of occasion nevertheless.)

Her skirt does say, "fashion icon." (In the same font she used for all her LAMB marketing, which is a nice touch.)

This literally is a wedding dress, and honestly WHY NOT wear wedding gowns on the red carpet? There is more than one place for a dramatic white gown. I DO think she and Gwen must have laughed when they saw each other though -- who would have guessed they'd both go for a white train?

This dress is rad from the side, but when I see it from the front, I sort of wish the entire thing was short because it has the vibe that she's wearing her beach house sofa slipcover. At the same time, this would make a cool wedding gown if you're an extremely chic hipster bride.

Comparatively, this has more of a sort of Real Housewives vow renewal feel. (Jana has a lot of relationship drama -- that is in fact why she was there; she and her husband were nominated for their podcast where, I believe, they discuss all their marital issues -- and actually might be very good on a housewives franchise? I DID really like her on One Tree Hill. Anyway, Bravo, think about it.)

Jeremy Scott gave Gwen her award and that seems very apt. This is....not subtle.

I assume this is a design of Jeremy's own making. (He did not tag it on his Instagram, so.) It's very swashbuckle-y. Imagine this with a sword! (It's already REALLY extra, why not go all the way.)
