(Photo by Scott Gries/Getty Images) This genuinely looks like someone tried to make a Fashion Apron. If it cost more than $12, she was cheated. ## Fergie and Miley ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-74724806-1787547052.jpg) NEW YORK - JUNE 18: (U.S. TABS OUT) Singer/actress Miley Cyrus (R) and singer Fergie pose for a photo backstage during MTV's Total Request Live at the MTV Times Square Studios on June 18, 2007 in New York City. (Photo by Scott Gries/Getty Images) I'm not even sure what the point of Fergie's straps are, as they aren't holding up the pants. They're just there to annoy her by slipping off her shoulder. Meanwhile, LOOK at Miley. Were we ever so young?!? ## Beyonce ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-75937945-1787547097.jpg) NEW YORK - JULY 31: (U.S. TABS OUT) Singer/actress Beyonce Knowles poses for a photo backstage during MTV's Total Request Live at the MTV Times Square Studios on July 31, 2007 in New York City. (Photo by Scott Gries/Getty Images) Bless her all the way up; Beyonce has never had the best taste. I can't even pledge myself to the gold shoes because they look like ankle monitors. ## Serena Williams ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-76402141-1787547124.jpg) NEW YORK - AUGUST 28: Serena Williams at MTV's "TRL" Studios in New York City (Photo by Theo Wargo/WireImage) I would not have thought anything could be very short AND frumpy, but here we are. (She would have been 25 here.) ## AJ Michalka, Serena, and Aly Michalka ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-76412669-1787547133.jpg) NEW YORK - AUGUST 28: Amanda Joy "AJ" Michalka, tennis player Serena Williams and Alyson Ranae "Aly" Michalka visit MTV's TRL at MTV Studios Times Square on August 28, 2007 in New York City. (Photo by Jason Kempin/FilmMagic) There is nothing better than these two people pretending to learn tennis in those clothes, from a person in THOSE clothes. ## AJ and Aly ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-75319220-1787546995.jpg) NEW YORK - JULY 10: Sister-band duo Aly and AJ appear on MTV's "TRL" on July 10, 2007 at MTV Studios in Times Square, New York City (Photo by Michael Loccisano/FilmMagic) Of course there is a dress over pants. It's 2007. ## Aly and AJ ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-76190118-1787547004.jpg) NEW YORK - AUGUST 20: (U.S. TABS OUT) Actresses/singers AJ (R) and Aly pose for a photo backstage during MTV's Total Request Live at the MTV Times Square Studios on August 20, 2007 in New York City. (Photo by Scott Gries/Getty Images) I have a soft spot for Aly from when she was on Hellcats. That was three years after this and pretty swiftly cancelled, but it was a fun time on The CW. (Really, ALL times on The CW were fun times, weren't they?) Anyway, AJ here has stepped up "dress over pants" with dress over CAPRIS. ## Aly and AJ ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-76380696-1787547022.jpg) NEW YORK - AUGUST 27: (U.S. TABS OUT) AJ and Aly (L) appear onstage during MTV's Total Request Live at the MTV Times Square Studios August 27, 2007 in New York City. (Photo by Scott Gries/Getty Images) Now it's AJ's turn for the shrunken vest, and because it's 2007, we also get a pointless belt slung over low-rise pants. ## Aly & AJ ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-76257576-1787547013.jpg) NEW YORK - AUGUST 20: (U.S. TABS OUT) AJ (R) and Aly appear onstage during MTV's Total Request Live at the MTV Times Square Studios on August 20, 2007 in New York City. (Photo by Scott Gries/Getty Images) However, I am confident Aly's necktie, vest, and HOTPANTS OVER JEANS take the entire cake. ## Anne Hathaway ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-75936330-1787547088.jpg) NEW YORK - JULY 31: Anne Hatheway Visits MTV's "TRL" at MTV Studios Times Square New York on July 31,2007 (Photo by Jamie McCarthy/WireImage) \*\*\* Local Caption \*\*\* "They told me to dress like I was going to a friend's house, so...???" ## Rihanna and Ciara ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-74104322-1787547041.jpg) NEW YORK - MAY 8: (U.S. TABS OUT) Singers Rihanna (L) and Ciara pose during MTV's Total Request Live at the MTV Times Square Studios May 8, 2007 in New York City. (Photo by Scott Gries/Getty Images) Rihanna's entire outfit is so cute that I hope she kept it. I also love that haircut on her. Nowadays, Ciara would wear that shirt as a dress. ## Common ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-75559448-1787547061.jpg) NEW YORK - JULY 17: (U.S. TABS OUT) Rapper/actor Common poses for a photo backstage during MTV's Total Request Live at the MTV Times Square Studios on July 17, 2007 in New York City. (Photo by Scott Gries/Getty Images) Not tucking in his shirt makes the tie look SO small. ## Skyler Shaye,Logan Browning,Janel Parrish and Nathalia Ramos ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-75711678-1787547077.jpg) NEW YORK - JULY 24: Skyler Shaye,Logan Browning,Janel Parrish and Nathalia Ramos stars of the movie "Bratz" visit MTV's TRL at MTV Studios Times Square New York July 24, 2006 (Photo by Jamie McCarthy/WireImage) These four were promoting the BRATZ movie. Janel was still three years away from Pretty Little Liars. The leggings! My God. This was all Starlet 101 back then. ## Alicia Keys ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-76249007-1787547114.jpg) NEW YORK - AUGUST 20: (U.S. TABS OUT) Singer Alicia Keys poses for a photo backstage during MTV's Total Request Live at the MTV Times Square Studios on August 20, 2007 in New York City. (Photo by Scott Gries/Getty Images) That face she's making suggests that someone just asked if she needs to use the bathroom really quickly, and she is realizing there IS no "really quickly" in that outfit. ## Lindsay Lohan ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-74121830-1787547188.jpg) NEW YORK - MAY 08: (U.S. TABS OUT) Actress Lindsay Lohan poses for a photo backstage during MTV's Total Request Live at the MTV Times Square Studios on May 8, 2007 in New York City. (Photo by Scott Gries/Getty Images) Flag on the play! ## Claire Danes ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/08/GettyImages-76039860-1787547105.jpg) NEW YORK - AUGUST 07: (U.S. TABS OUT) Actress Claire Danes poses for a photo backstage during MTV's Total Request Live at the MTV Times Square Studios on August 7, 2007 in New York City. (Photo by Scott Gries/Getty Images) And then Claire Danes arrived ready for a cocktail party.
