This is an excellent carriage to come tootling past you -- I know at least one Fug National was going to be in London for this, please let us know how it was! I love Kate's hat/updo situation here, and it's nice to see Meghan back out and about. (I like her Givenchy better without the wrap, which you'll see later in the slideshow.)

"You guys, I'm very excited to be out of the house!!" "And I, Harry, am very excited that I have someone to sit next to me at this things!" I think last year, the Sussexes were in a carriage solo; please bring me all the Carriage Seating Logistics! (I suspect that's because they were freshly wed last year and it seemed right to give them a solo moment. Now they all get to be shoved into the carriage together as usual, as Harry usually rode with Camz and Kate before he got married.)

I just thought this was a good snap -- I believe they're waiting for the parade to begin here. Everyone looks like they're conserving their energy for the Waveathon to come.

Looks like it was windy! I can't remember if we've seen this hat on Kate before, but if it's new, it's very much like a hat she's had for ages, which I've always liked. (This one, that she wore to Zara's wedding. It's not the same hat, right? Right; that one is nuts from the front. Glad we got that sorted.) (OH WAIT YES, this is the same hat she wore to Meghan and Harry's wedding, which I also compared to the Zara Wedding Hat right right right right right.) I am personally a fan of the hat genre Look At All This Crazy Stuff Happening Under My Brim Here. Camilla, interestingly, looks a bit like she's wearing a Kate Outfit in that coatdress. What if these two have secretly Freaky Friday-ed?!?!

Welcome to your first Trooping The Color, Jack Brooksbank! (I like to think he and Meghan occasionally huddle at these things and have sotto voce convos about how weird it is to wave at people from a carriage.)
As far as the girls go, yes Bea is wearing a dress we've previously seen on Sophie (do we think she BORROWED it from Sophie?) and Euj looks very cute even though her hat sort of looks like someone came by and give it a quick squozzle of whipped cream.

This is, obviously, not reinventing the wheel, but Kate was never going to roll out in, like, a one-sleeves pleather jumpsuit and this is LOVELY on her. I really like the pleating details. (Have we seen her in this cross necklace before? I feel like....yes, but not recently, nor often. [EDIT: The folks at What Would Kate Do reminded me that the answer is yes.])

It was hard to get a good look at Meghan's Givenchy since she and Harry are sort of shoved back there and ANDREW is in the way. MOVE OVER ANDREW. (Although I believe Andy is acting as his mother's escort since Philip is home watching the Women's World Cup.) However, I like it much better without the wrap --the white shoulders make it feel sort of nautical in an appealing way.

Jack looks very smart! (I love his glasses. Good for you, Euj.) Sophie BROUGHT IT this year (especially compared to last year when she wore that terrible dress with the scrunchie around her neck); Lady Louise is repeating her look from Euj's wedding, and looks very appropriate. James continues to look a bit grouchy. Edward is alive! (And actually in a very interesting uniform.)
