Kiernan Shipka played the titular witch in the *Chilling Adventures of Sabrina*, a fact -- and a show) -- I had completely forgotten until I got a load of this and my first thought was, "This feels like it would have been perfect for THAT premiere." There's something very Fun-Loving Teen Sorceress about it. And she's such an adorable person that she can sell just about anything, but looking at this as much on its own merits as I can, it's overwrought for me. If she ditched the absurd tulle arm-warmers and put the chest bow in the BACK somewhere, or even on her head (although that is not my favorite look), would this work a little more magic? Or is it conjuring enough joy for you already? Sigh. I'm sorry. I should stuff that witch wordplay back in my top hat with the rabbit.
