(Photo by Andrew Schwartz) 2022 US Open Tennis Championships, queens, Usa - 29 Aug 2022 These are the separates she changed into, which seem to have brought her better luck. They seem fine. ## Donna Vekic ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13349051h-1661916025.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Julia Nikhinson/AP/Shutterstock (13349051h) Donna Vekic, of Croatia, returns a shot to Veronika Kudmermetova, during the first round of the US Open tennis championships, in New York US Open Tennis, New York, United States - 29 Aug 2022 Not that many people that I saw wore the dress, but this might be one? Honestly, part of it too was the specific conditions at the time. I'm sure when it's not blustery, it was normal. Perhaps Nike should run a bluster test. ## Tatjana Maria ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13349458ah-1661916134.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by PETER FOLEY/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock (13349458ah) Tatjana Maria of Germany hits a return against Maria Sakkari of Greece in their first round match during the US Open Tennis Championships at the USTA National Tennis Center in in Flushing Meadows, New York, USA, 29 August 2022\. The US Open runs from 29 August through 11 September. US Open Grand Slam 2022, Flushing Meadows, USA - 29 Aug 2022 I don't like this colorway as much as Bianca's version (or the dress version, in fact). It's a little bland. ## Emma Raducanu ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13352655dl-1661916320.jpg) EDITORIAL USE ONLY No use with unauthorised audio, video, data, fixture lists, club/league logos or "live" services. (Emma lost in round 1\. She's had a rough go since winning here a year ago.) ## Naomi Osaka ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13354866an-1661987032.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Andrew Schwartz/SIPA/Shutterstock (13354866an) Naomi Osaka competes in the 2022 US Open inside Arthur Ashe Stadium at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Flushing NY on August 30, 2022\. (Photo by Andrew Schwartz) 2022 US Open Tennis Championships, queens, Usa - 30 Aug 2022 Naomi got her own Nike situation, which feels a little half-baked. ## Coco Gauff ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13350706an-1661916213.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Larry Marano/Shutterstock (13350706an) Cori Gauff Vs Leolia Jeanjean at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center Flushing US Open Championships 2022, Day One, USTA National Tennis Center, Flushing Meadows, New York, USA - 29 Aug 2022 Meanwhile, Coco's stuff from New Balance is FUN. It's one of those where the combination of colors and graphics might not SOUND like they work but are super fun in action. ## Maria Sakkari ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13349051bn-1661915977.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by John Minchillo/AP/Shutterstock (13349051bn) Maria Sakkari, of Greece, returns a shot to Tatjana Maria, of Germany, during the first round of the US Open tennis championships, in New York US Open Tennis, New York, United States - 29 Aug 2022 This looks like it's dripping with the BLOOD OF HER CONQUESTS. (Unfortunately, she lost in round two, also.)(Also, the WORK SHE PUTS INTO HER ARMS. They are amazing.) ## Ons Jabeur ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13349051gy-1661916012.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Frank Franklin II/AP/Shutterstock (13349051gy) Ons Jabeur, of Tunisia, reacts after defeating Madison Brengle, of the United States, during the first round of the US Open tennis championships, in New York US Open Tennis, New York, United States - 29 Aug 2022 This is a more subtle Hot Orange, if you can ever call Hot Orange "subtle." ## Venus Williams ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13353948b-1661916423.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Grace Schultz/CSM/Shutterstock (13353948b) Venus Williams (USA) loses to Alison Van Uylvanck (BEL), 6-1, 7-6 at the US Open being played at Billie Jean King Ntional Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens, New York, {USA} ©Grace Schultz/CSM TENNIS US Open Aug. 30, Flushing, Queens, USA - 30 Aug 2022 Venus's outfit is great, but I'd have liked it better as a dress I think? I am so sad she lost, but she almost seems to expect it now. The commentators were speculating that she's going to focus up and try to make one more run at the circuit next year, and I hope that's true. I also want Venus to get a farewell bash that's separate from Serena's and which acknowledges all of her contributions, although maybe Venus will prefer to go quietly. ## Harmony Tan ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13349051cl-1661915990.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by John Minchillo/AP/Shutterstock (13349051cl) Harmony Tan, of France, returns a shot to Bianca Andreescu, of Canada, during the first round of the US Open tennis championships, in New York US Open Tennis, New York, United States - 29 Aug 2022 I'm into her Lacoste kit. ## Maryna Zanevska ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13349458cp-1661916146.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by JASON SZENES/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock (13349458cp) Maryna Zanevska of Belgium returns a serve to CoCo Vandeweghe of the United States in their first round match during the US Open Tennis Championships at the USTA National Tennis Center in in Flushing Meadows, New York, USA, 29 August 2022\. The US Open runs from 29 August through 11 September. US Open Grand Slam 2022, Flushing Meadows, USA - 29 Aug 2022 Those little stripes are so cute! I would have pulled that motif into the top instead of the wide red band. ## Veronika Kudmermetova ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13349051bi-1661915964.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Julia Nikhinson/AP/Shutterstock (13349051bi) Veronika Kudmermetova, of Russia, returns a shot to Donna Vekic, of Croatia, during the first round of the US Open tennis championships, in New York US Open Tennis, New York, United States - 29 Aug 2022 But the hits of pink and purple animal print here win it for me. ## Jelena Ostapenko ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13353163ah-1661916333.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Mary Altaffer/AP/Shutterstock (13353163ah) Jelena Ostapenko, of Latvia, serves to Zheng Qinwen, of China, during the first round of the US Open tennis championships, in New York US Open Tennis, New York, United States - 30 Aug 2022 Not to be outdone: ACTUAL animal print! ## Barbora Krejcikova ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13349051is-1661916056.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Charles Krupa/AP/Shutterstock (13349051is) Barbora Krejcikova, of the Czech Republic, returns a shot to Fernanda Contreras Gómez, of Mexico, during the first round of the US Open tennis championships, in New York US Open Tennis, New York, United States - 29 Aug 2022 And these stripes! I want to buy all of this and take up tennis again... once Heat Dome relents. ## Eleana Yu ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13349051i-1661916037.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Mary Altaffer/AP/Shutterstock (13349051i) Eleana Yu, of the United States, returns a shot to Alison Riske-Amritra, of the United States, during the first round of the US Open tennis championships, in New York US Open Tennis, New York, United States - 29 Aug 2022 This is also really fun. ## Alison Riske-Amritraj ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13349051aw-1661915951.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Mary Altaffer/AP/Shutterstock (13349051aw) Alison Riske-Amritraj, of the United States, reacts against Eleana Yu, of the United States, during the first round of the US Open tennis championships, in New York US Open Tennis, New York, United States - 29 Aug 2022 This is so uninspired by comparison. Not that she minds; she pulled out a big second-round win yesterday. ## Leylah Fernandez ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13349051qi-1661916103.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Frank Franklin II/AP/Shutterstock (13349051qi) Leylah Fernandez, of Canada, returns a shot to Oceane Dodin, of France, during the first round of the US Open tennis championships, in New York US Open Tennis, New York, United States - 29 Aug 2022 That's also pretty boring. But Leylah is pretty new still; it was only last year at the US Open that she broke through. Hopefully she'll become such a star that she gets her own gear. (I really like her.) ## Anett Kontaveit ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/09/shutterstock_editorial_13354353md-1661993962.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Frank Franklin II/AP/Shutterstock (13354353md) Anett Kontaveit, of Estonia, reacts as she competes against Serena Williams, of the United States, during the second round of the U.S. Open tennis championships, in New York US Open Tennis, New York, United States - 31 Aug 2022 When I wrote this slide, her match against Serena hadn't started, and I wrote it as if Anett won. BUT SHE DID NOT. Did I manifest Serena's victory?!?!?! Anyway, Anett fought SO HARD and it was a fantastic match and I really like her dress. She's coming through the other side of Covid setbacks, and I hope she's at least encouraged by this high level of play. ## Daria Snigur ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13331092du-1661915902.jpg) EDITORIAL USE ONLY No use with unauthorised audio, video, data, fixture lists, club/league logos or "live" services. I like her kit, too. I believe she lost in round two, but she'll make $80k for that round one win, and that's pretty thrilling. ## Karolina Pliskova ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13353350ac-1661916386.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by CJ GUNTHER/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock (13353350ac) Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic returns a hit to Magda Linette of Poland in their first round match during the US Open Tennis Championships at the USTA National Tennis Center in in Flushing Meadows, New York, USA, 30 August 2022\. The US Open runs from 29 August through 11 September. US Open Grand Slam 2022, Flushing Meadows, USA - 30 Aug 2022 The boob vent here makes it uncharacteristically cleavage-y for a tennis dress. ## Alize Cornet ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13352652fr-1661916291.jpg) EDITORIAL USE ONLY No use with unauthorised audio, video, data, fixture lists, club/league logos or "live" services. Fun fact: She beat Iga Swiatek to get into the Aussie Open final, and it was the last time Swiatek lost before she went on her historic 37-match streak. Danielle lost to Ash Barty and seemed so gutted, and has been very up and down since. I like her, but I couldn't tell if the crowd agreed? She is INTENSE but in a way I enjoy. ## Andy Murray ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13331099bs-1661915920.jpg) EDITORIAL USE ONLY No use with unauthorised audio, video, data, fixture lists, club/league logos or "live" services. I'm sure I've made this joke before, but AMC is a line of movie theaters in the U.S., and I love the idea of them randomly sponsoring his career. Imagine him showing up with shirts that have photos of, like, Tom Cruise from Top Gun silkscreened onto them. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13351330b-1661916256.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Andrew Schwartz/SIPA/Shutterstock (13351330b) Andy Murray competed in the 2022 US Open inside Louis Armstrong Stadium at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Flushing NY on August 29, 2022\. The US Open runs from 29 August through 11 September. US Open Grand Slam 2022, Flushing Meadows, USA - 30 Aug 2022 Something about that navy block across the top reminds me of when a strapless dress is a bit too boxy and a bit too big. ## Denis Shapovalov ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13353163nn-1661986995.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Charles Krupa/AP/Shutterstock (13353163nn) Denis Shapovalov, of Canada, watches his serve to Marc-Andrea Huesler, of Switzerland, during the first round of the US Open tennis championships, in New York US Open Tennis, New York, United States - 30 Aug 2022 That's a more basic version. ## Nick Kyrgios ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13349458jt-1661916163.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by JUSTIN LANE/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock (13349458jt) Nick Kyrgios of Australia hits a return to Thanasi Kokkinakis of Australia during their first round match, during the US Open Tennis Championships, at the USTA National Tennis Center, in Flushing Meadows, New York, USA, 29 August 2022\.
