Not that many people that I saw wore the dress, but this might be one? Honestly, part of it too was the specific conditions at the time. I'm sure when it's not blustery, it was normal. Perhaps Nike should run a bluster test.
Tatjana Maria

I don't like this colorway as much as Bianca's version (or the dress version, in fact). It's a little bland.

This is a more subtle Hot Orange, if you can ever call Hot Orange "subtle."
Venus's outfit is great, but I'd have liked it better as a dress I think? I am so sad she lost, but she almost seems to expect it now. The commentators were speculating that she's going to focus up and try to make one more run at the circuit next year, and I hope that's true. I also want Venus to get a farewell bash that's separate from Serena's and which acknowledges all of her contributions, although maybe Venus will prefer to go quietly.

When I wrote this slide, her match against Serena hadn't started, and I wrote it as if Anett won. BUT SHE DID NOT. Did I manifest Serena's victory?!?!?! Anyway, Anett fought SO HARD and it was a fantastic match and I really like her dress. She's coming through the other side of Covid setbacks, and I hope she's at least encouraged by this high level of play.

Daria Snigur emotional after victory in her first round match against Halep
US Open Championships 2022, Day One, USTA National Tennis Center, Flushing Meadows, New York, USA - 29 Aug 2022
Daria, a Ukrainian player, knocked off Simona Halep in the first round and the joy was very pure. I like her kit, too. I believe she lost in round two, but she'll make $80k for that round one win, and that's pretty thrilling.

Danielle beat Naomi. Fun fact: She beat Iga Swiatek to get into the Aussie Open final, and it was the last time Swiatek lost before she went on her historic 37-match streak. Danielle lost to Ash Barty and seemed so gutted, and has been very up and down since. I like her, but I couldn't tell if the crowd agreed? She is INTENSE but in a way I enjoy.
