It's nice to see Naomi smiling. I also like that the flair she uses is just jazzy bike shorts. It's like a SURPRISE. I wonder if the other leg is hiked up because she's one of the people that tucks the balls up into her pants when she's not using them.

Apparently a ball girl squashed a moth here that had been flapping around? I enjoy that Naomi's face is like, "Nooooo," but, y'all, that moth wants to eat all your clothes and don't you forget it.

Let's pause here to talk about these outfits. They're colorful, but for my money, too distracting. I don't think the on-court staff necessarily needs to jump out, and of course, the large Polo logo is the loudest of all. And if you think it's big on the front...

... then peep the back. I am really so sick of how aggressively Ralph Lauren brands these things. It doesn't even look nice. LET IT GO. If you took off the logo, this might be okay for the front of their shirts, but the ACTUAL fronts seem too busy. It's okay to be simple here, Ralph. it's not about you, and whoever said to you, "No, it's cool, it can TOTALLY be about you," needs to sit down.

Yep, I like it. Boy, though, the commentators would NOT let go of whether the crowds owe Djoker more adulation. (They may have been booing during his match but they may ALSO have been yelling "RUNE" which was his opponent's name.) It was really annoying and almost scoldy? He's a good player, everyone knows this, surely he doesn't need validation from the crowds (he was clearly annoyed at them also). But the New York fans have never really loved Djokovic, that I can remember! This is not new! Also he's kind of a jerk! But mostly, fans also routinely cheer for the underdog, an upset, or just a longer match. I don't know. It was striking, the way the commentators of all the matches kept bringing it up.
