Uzo is promoting *The Residence*, the new Shonda Rhimes Netflix show. [Per CBS,](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/uzo-aduba-netflix-series-shonda-rhimes/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) "Aduba plays Cordelia Cupp, the best detective in the world...\[who is\] called in to investigate every person at the White House after a mysterious death during a state dinner and is reluctantly paired with an FBI agent." I thought the preview looked good, and honestly, this blurb definitely does make me want to watch it. (Hopefully, Shonda got out all her *Alias-*related yayas with the back half of *Scandal* and no one is going to be ripping out someone's teeth to torture the truth out of them in this one.) It will not surprise you to see that Uzo looks totally competent and reasonable here -- [we learned in her style retrospective that she is GREAT at a day dress](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/the-uzo-aduba-style-retrospective-07-2020/) \-- although I hate to report that, for a woman whose shoes used to be reliably interesting, she has opted for more standard footwear this time.
