... and when it's like this, it's just sort of like when you pull a Kleenex out of the box and none of them want to break apart from the others so suddenly you've pulled out seven. It's at least well-made, and not heinous, which with Vera have NOT been givens lately. But it's a real wisp of a thing.

She opened the show in this, and it's SO much better. I would have wanted to wear this dress all night.

Vanessa did well with the pre-recorded bits, but she's not great at hosting -- either her giggle is a nervous tic, or she forces it too often because she's scared the banter won't land. Either way, she tried to tell a joke here about how this is what people would wear if she styled Squid Games, or something? And yeah. Didn't work. But I would be open to someone wearing this at the Olympics as their Opening Ceremony costume.

Friends, I don't even know. She looks like Sexy Half Pint meets Dorothy meets Holly Hobbie. I have never yearned for that vibe, but there's a 12-month calendar somewhere that's up for it. (OKAY apparently this is a Euphoria reference? I have not been able to bring myself to watch that show yet.)
