# Vanessa Hudgens Goes ALL OUT For This Dog Day's Premiere

So this is the second time we've seen Marchesa on what I'd call an A-list or A-list-adjacent actor since the Harvey Weinstein news broke -- the first, of course, being [this very boring and off-theme number on Scarlett Johansson at the Met Gala](https://www.gofugyourself.com/photos/the-rest-of-the-met-gala-2018/met-gala-2018-ny-set-2-8?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). I do not like this on Vanessa, particularly -- the color is pretty on her and she looks great from the waist up, but the entirety of it somehow manages to be extra and tired at the same time. Sheer from the thighs down feels *real* 2014\. And, look, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig have had their hands full lately; it is perhaps unrealistic to expect them to be on the cutting edge at the moment. But I *also* think that Marchesa *knows* it's an ask to have someone wear it right now, even a longtime devotee like The Hudge. So perhaps instead of simply dipping[ into the old Spring 2018 well](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/the-entire-springsummer-2018-marchesa-show-09-2017/) (that show was in September 2017, and was their last runway collection before the Weinstein scandal broke), the ladies need to be turning out fresh custom looks that are so obviously stellar that anyone who sees them thinks, "God, no wonder she couldn't resist that, it's *amazing*," and not, "Marchesa, *really*? Interesting." Or maybe they can't? Maybe no one is sewing for them anymore.
