Those are some serious snow boots. And yes, she DID smile! Quite a bit, actually. This has come up a lot recently, so: Sometimes the photos that show off the outfit the best don't give you the full range of a person's facial expressions. We will usually tell you if every single photo we had from an event was the same facial expression; if we don't caveat that, you can often assume there was a smile somewhere. Not that she HAS to smile, but I like it as a sign that while she knows the very glum emo pictures are part of the deal, she's still having with it.
