I love this. I MIGHT wish for a slightly less busy backdrop so that the dress stands alone a bit better. But even amid all the activity of the fronds and the pattern and the jewelry, SHE still somehow pops. I think the lead photo they used in the article is even better, but this is undeniably cool.

The lead photo in her story is ALSO better, just because it feels a trifle more relaxed. She looks uncomfortable here -- her face reminds me of what one of the beans has started to do anytime we're taking an official photo. He is one of the most loosy-goosey goobers in the world, but if he has to smile on cue, his entire face goes stiff.

I think her cover ties with JLD as my least favorite? I can't put my finger on why. Her instagram is full of shots like this where she seems... better connected, maybe? But my reaction may be shaded by the fact that I saw the lead picture first and she looks sort of sleepy and Over It in that one.

This is great. I want to laugh along with her while we wear our caftans.

This is very cool, and very much in her style wheelhouse.

This is all VERY DRAMATIC for a comedy cover. Which is fine; it's not like I expected her to be doing cartwheels in a clown suit. It just makes me laugh.
