This photo literally could be in an encyclopedia -- which we used in 1996 -- under the heading "1996." I owned a knock-off of Dave's sunglasses AND Dave's coat. Also: I've theorized before that the coat trends of your early 20s really imprint on you but I LOVE this coat and would wear it today.
