Donatella streamed her show live, setting it in a replica Atlantis as a metaphor for a society that has fallen and may now try to rediscover itself and rise from the deep. As Marty McFly would say, "Whoa. That's heavy." But as much as [Donatella talked to *Vogue* about disrupting things and doing them differently now](https://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/spring-2021-ready-to-wear/versace?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), the collection itself -- its size, both in volume of pieces and in volume *on* the pieces -- feels like something she'd have landed on anyway. That's not necessarily a bad thing; consistency is a big part of branding. There is a lot in here that will get parceled out to celebs, but boy, my mind is not functioning and so I did a terrible job coming up with ideas for fantasy styling. Save me from myself, Fug Nation.
