Sofia Carson in Alexandre Vauthier

At first I thought this was a sequined floppy jumpsuit but I'm pretty sure it's a dress and boots. Which is admittedly a little less exciting, especially if you really DID want her to be in the Grover business.

Chloe Bailey in Roberto Cavalli

This showed up a lot more blue on the telecast. I actually quite like the texture of it, and find it a lot more interesting than many of her outfits. Hooray.

Dhar Mann

I like that jacket, and it also looks like a bruise. I am a woman of conflicts.

Stephen Sanchez

He performed during one of the outros to commercials, and his voice is as great as his neck bow is large.

Justina Valentine

I sincerely thought this was Bella Thorne for a good while, and that she was making a HUGE pivot from her Venice appearances. I'm relieved and sort of disappointed? Again, I contain multitudes.

Markell Washington

I've never seen anyone so committed to the concept of the scrunchie and/or the garter.

Sam Ryder

He seemed amiably perplexed every time I saw him on the backstage/audience cam. Perhaps he was also wondering why on EARTH that show needed to run nearly an HOUR OVER.

Taiga Brava

Taiga is from Mexico, which will be very sad not to be represented on this denim flag suit.

Emily Ratajkowski in vintage Gaultier

This is on-brand. It's overworked.

Madelyn Cline in Givenchy

Givenchy is so off-the-rails right now.

Ashanti

I'm sorry... are those TURTLES covering her boobs? Perhaps she is symbolically referencing her relationship with Nelly, whose face is on her purse. She and Nelly just got back together after 10 years apart, and perhaps that counts as slow and steady winning the race.

AP Dhillon

I might really like this? It would look great on H.E.R.

PinkPantheress

That train looks like someone spilled coffee on it.

Timbaland

I definitely didn't call a chartreuse-check, so thank you for the pleasant surprise, sir.

Sofia Carson Attended the VMAs as Grover

And who doesn't love Grover?
