Her outfit looks like someone found an old couch on the side of the road and spruced it up. That's a compliment, though.

Sophie plays Young Juliette, which I think makes good visual sense. I also buy that Juliette as a person would be into the semi-Western vibe of her dress, with, effectively, a giant leather cross on it. Like an old timey church in Wyatt Earp's day.

I know nothing is truly dated anymore, and everything back, but... those boots do just feel dated to me.

I think someone pointed out what amazing casting Ella would be for young Christina Ricci... except she's not playing that part. I wonder if they were kicking themselves when they got the whole cast together (nothing against the actress they did pick; Ella just seems really bang-on). Her suit, which feels like a hybrid of athleisure and workwear, works well on her -- it's a good example of whatever this trend is trying to be.

Samantha will be Young Ricci, and she's still pretty good visually. She's also selling that shirt well. It looks like it was once a throw-pillow.

And these pants were once three other pairs of pants.

Well, I appreciate that she went for an unexpected shoe, even if kitten heels are unwelcome in my life.

I'm annoyed at myself for misspelling her name the other day. I convinced myself the E wasn't there. WRONG. Anyway, she looks fine. I like the tee and blazer aesthetic. My main question is: The shoes are so clonky and heavy that the jacket might feel TOO light?

So cute. That skirt is really perfect.

Guess what? Yep, Search Party is ANOTHER show we made it partway through, enjoyed, and then just... accidentally put down, because other things happened. Meredith is great on it, and that lipstick is super with this golden mustard dress.

Your friendly neighborhood Eagle Scout wants to check in on your badge progress. Have you done any leatherwork today?

The whole gang was there! Alia looks cute, and while it's old, I feel I need to link to John's brilliant, brilliant parody of Vogue's 73 Questions.

Her entire outfit, I feel in my bones. That's as dressy as I ever get anymore. Artem looks like he was just painting his living room. They're on Dancing With The Stars together, and they're... fine? She talks a LOT about Being An Artist and I think they drive each other a little nuts, but the end result is good enough (if maybe not his most imaginative work?). Tyra always lets Melora talk more than anyone else, though.

Other than season 1 and some scattershot stuff along the way, I have only really paid attention to the last two seasons of this show. So take it with a grain of salt that I think Jenna Johnson is one of the very best choreographers they have, particularly in contemporary. She's consistently excellent -- though in fairness, she's also been given two ridiculously competent partners in Nev and Jo-Jo.

A lot of the same dancers made it to the semifinals this year as last, with Jenna and Daniella repeating in the finals and Artem and Alan and Sasha repeating in the semis. I have been totally charmed by Iman this season, although it's getting a LITTLE bit "when in doubt, just have him lift Daniella 45 times per dance." Then again: He can lift the bejeesus out of her.

And they're fine. She's good but I think her journey has been very flat. She started out a good dancer and she's the same good dancer, whereas other people have gotten better? Jo-Jo has progressed a bit more and with more intricate dancers, I think? MAYBE? I don't know. She's going to be fine.

They are my least favorite of the semi-final crew, I think? I would have liked to see Suni Lee in the final instead; I'll be annoyed if Cody wins just because Peloton fans are hyped. (Do we think this means Ally Love, or Robin Arzon, or Emma Lovewell, is next?) Cheryl mentioned wanting to judge, and I might root for that -- Carrie Ann has worn a little thin for me, and this season I don't think she was able to set aside her personal relationship with Amanda. So Cheryl might be some fresh air.

His mane of hair is a yes from me.

And I guess 3rd Rock from the Sun had a mini-reunion (I had to fight not to call it 30 Rock From The Sun, and... I might watch a very special hybrid of those shows, it's true; Kenneth the Page would fit right in). Joseph Gordon-Levitt looks a lot more like your awkward uncle than I expected.

Look, I don't know what he's wearing, but does this mean Barry is coming back soon? Please? DOES IT? Barry is like the anti-Ted Lasso, in terms of comedies. Just as funny but in a completely completely different way.

She looks fantastic. BRING ON THE MIRAISSANCE.
