*Wakanda Forever* marks the first time Marvel has brought a movie premiere to Nigeria, and Danai Gurira brought in a little African culture to her look. Her dress is credited to a Ghanaian designer, Christie Brown, and her head scarf is called a [*gele*](https://leurr.com/fashion/african-print/latest-2022-gele-styles/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). She herself posted that her makeup was a tribute to Afropunk. I love getting these peeks into the process, and the beauty of a time difference is that they usually hit the (social) media in time for us to catch them.
