*The Buccaneers* is based on an unfinished Edith Wharton novel, which Apple TV has turned into a romp with modern language and music but great period clothes. It's a deeply uneven show -- LOTS of Americans being loud and laughing and squealing so that everyone is clear that they're Not Like The Aristocrats -- but it's also just soapy and fun enough that I'm looking forward to season two. ESPECIALLY now that Blair Waldorf herself is on the scene. Blair *plus* Joan Holloway Harris?!? Yes.
