# We Missed Two Wacky Cate Blanchett Outfits Recently

The above is an outfit from Louis Vuitton's spring 2026 show, which is how I know it's a dress and not secretly pants -- though I was concerned. Pants would have been bonkers, like a ghillie suit for if you were trying to hide in a landscape painting. It's also very easily disturbed; I think her left hand on her hip is sliding the top part askew enough to create the hole in the middle, [which wasn't present on the runway](https://wwd.com/fashion-news/shows-reviews/gallery/louis-vuitton-spring-2026-ready-to-wear-collection-1238263263/louis-vuitton-spring-2026-ready-to-wear-collection-41/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). I appreciate her selling this to us as hard as possible -- that's what she does best -- but it's a LOT for me. However, it's better than this silken Maison Margiela prison:
