This movie -- where Leonardo DiCaprio tried to win an Oscar as Howard Hughes (he lost to Jamie Foxx in *Ray,* [in a slate of actors that was 80% biopic](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/77th%5FAcademy%5FAwards?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)) -- predates the time when we'd try to cover film premieres in their entirety and *my God*, these shindigs had way more hats than I remembered. We've also got fur coats, bad man-hair, loads of satin, a few legitimately good looks, some information I never had about *The Aviator* (a movie I somehow never saw), and *at least* two teen heartthrobs other than Leo. Get into it.
