Generally, I have a pretty poor memory for fashion -- which I think is because we see so much of it, day in and day out, that it's overwhelming. I can only fit so many marbles into my cupped hands, so if you keep adding them, others will just fall out, you know? But these stripes, I know. In 2023, [when Scarlett Johansson wore them to Cannes, I remembered them from Hailee Steinfeld](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/scarjo-wore-a-familiar-prada-to-her-photocall-05-2023/) all the way back in 2011\. Not because I am so great, but because my brain -- while skipping bins like TODAY'S DATE and WHAT'S FOR DINNER -- apparently has a file labeled OMG STRIPES and this is in it. Possibly only this. Wouldn't want to overwhelm my mind files.
