Joseph Altuzarra [told *WWD* he was in the throes of wanderlust while designing this](https://wwd.com/runway/fall-2022/new-york/altuzarra/review/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), and used it to imagine an escape. Somehow that turned... seafaring? He apparently left a copy of Moby Dick on each seat, chose a venue with a maritime theme, and leaned into knits and shearling before closing the show with mermaid-esque paillettes. At least he committed.
