Not a good dress but SUCH A GOOD KISS.

Glorious and gorgeous.

Not that many people can pull off SO many horizontal stripes.

The best she has ever looked, period, and possibly also the best thing he has ever made.

I wish she'd flicked her hair out of her face. That gunmetal gown is perfection.

She can do anything.

Anna is a model (and Pat Cleveland's daughter) and I have to be honest: Her catwalk shenanigans for Zac Posen make me insane (lots of twirling and weird walking and glaring and ME ME ME stuff, although I know he digs it). But she looks WONDERFUL in this dress. We happened to be covering this party, and as we left, we walked past her in the atrium being twirled in this dress, and she was clearly having a damn blast in it. Kind of a perfect moment, in a perfect, perfect gown.

We liked this better than many of you. I just think it's enchanting. Also, she wore it on the telecast with her glasses and Jared Leto was like, "HELLO," so that ruled.

She is basically everything I would ever hope to be.

She's 51. I'm not. I look 51; she doesn't.

Flawless, right down to the green clutch.

This is one of the few red carpet dresses that I look at and think, "MAYBE my body could do that?" It's fantastic. Like really sexy chain mail.

She is one of my very favorites on the red carpet lately. Enviable in every way.

We gave most of our attention to what she wore to the Globes during her "Still Alice" run, but honestly, the moreI look, the more I like this better. That green is just to die for on her, and all too rarely seen on the red carpet.

And yet we saw it again. And it worked AGAIN. What a gorgeous spin on a peplum.

Needs a better lip, but this is one of the best things she's worn: interesting, lively, and properly fit.

This is preppy in the most delightful way, but what really slays me are the zig-zag shoes.

I thought she pulled off this suit with real aplomb.

I didn't have a full shot of this dress, but I saw one on People, and it was FABULOUS.

Maybe we appreciate this the most because she goes to SUCH PAINS to wear crazy cracked-out shit.

Slinky as hell.

Yeah, the pattern is aggressive, but I admire her a lot for picking this for her first major press tour for her first major movie. It's gutsy, and it's cheery, and points for that AND for not doing a dull shoe.

She's a treasure, and so is this.

Maybe it's because I have kids that are into the planets right now, but I found this print charming, and perfectly executed in a shorter dress rather than a big ol' gown.

I think this is my favorite of the things she tried this year that remind us she's growing up.

I could've picked out just about everything she wore this year, honestly. This stands out for being a great mix of two colors I love that people don't wear enough.

The most graceful thing to come from Miuccia's shop in a long time.

Paisley! AT LAST.

It's amazing to me that a pattern that resembles tire tracks can look so cool on a body.

Donatella does better when she remembers that -- when it comes to sexy -- less is more.

It was fun to see that skirt on the red carpet, and on such a freaking great model.

She was freshly postpartum here, I think, and she looks great. That dress might be the most flattering thing Prabal has ever done for her.

This was custom, and fit her similarly ideally -- as a custom gown SHOULD. It was the jewel in the crown of her much-improved fashion year.

I loved this Tom Ford, which MIIIIGHT be baby blue and not white? Either way, I thought Reese looked stunning in it.

Yeah, the Roksanda dress is cute, but the SHOES. They win the day.

Okay, it's a little sheer down there, but she's rocking it. It was a great year for Taraji, and I thought this dress -- for the Emmys where she was nominated for Empire -- mixed toughness and glam in the best way.

And Viola was totally triumphant here on several levels.

It needs to be hoiked, big time, but it's still really dreamy -- notably so given the less-than-ideal runway shows under the reign of OdlR's successor Peter Copping.

Way to creep back onto the scene, Wino. This is beautiful.

She mostly wore black on the red carpet until this point. I found this utterly great on her.

Another one that fits the way custom dresses should. It's wonderful with her coloring, too.

This was a Jedi delight at the Met Gala. Way to bring the unexpected drama, Annie.

Anna looks insane, but Bee may have beaten all the boldface names at their own game.

Gorgeous scroll work.

This was a lot more unusual than she's done lately, which is why I appreciate it so much.

A dreamy nod to Leia.

She almost exclusively does black or white these days, so the red Saint Laurent with that nifty metallic strap was a welcome assortment that there's life in her.

TWIRL. YES.

There was a LOT I could have picked from her archive. This was basically me throwing a dart.

AMAZING color. And the gown is better than anything they've given Jennifer Lawrence for her red carpets.

So, so glorious.

Ditto. And the grassy backdrop is even more perfect with all those flowers.

Yes, please.

So sleek and sexy.

I loved this outfit... had she been wearing it in June, an not November.

I am a sucker for gold sparkly things.

She's worn some bananas shit this year, which is why I'm happy I liked this so much.

Aw. Our girl is all grown up.

WOOHOOOOOOO.

It doesn't even matter what this looks like from the front.

The dress is a fabulous color, but what really put her over the edge here were the shoes...

... which YES. And what a good way to finish, no? We started with lips and we're ending with feet. No need for the twain to meet.
