I mean. I love this dress. Keith Urban obviously agreed. I could look at it all day.
The ladylike simplicity of this black and gold coat-dress is wonderful, too. L'Wren Scott was a very tall, elegant lady, and so it makes sense that Nicole Kidman wore a lot of her designs.
You can see the front of this here, but for me the marvel was the curlicues in the back. I LOVE that train.
These two were such a good partnership.
AND THIS. It's the best Eliza Doolittle tribute ever, worn to another big race day.
Of all the black-over-nude designs, I think the art-deco loveliness of this wins.
This is a perfect example of how sometimes simple glamour is the most effective.
This one was more controversial -- MOST of Fug Nation thought it was nifty and unusual, though, and so do I. There's something about it that makes me think, "I would read that kids' book, if it existed."

I didn't love the head-styling with this, but again, I think the pattern on that gown is so cool -- it looks like a Tim Burton movie, in the best way.
Stunning.
Another controversial one that, again, a majority of Fug Nation voted "yes" on, possibly because it's so Marimekko. I'm not sure it was right for Shailene, but I'd have LOVED it on Kidman, I think.
I liked this for being an unusual match of fabrics, both of which photograph like they have intriguing textures.
SJP walks a tough line between her very spunky personality and her actual age at this point -- the idea that she herself is so youthful that it'd be criminal if she dressed like, say, Ellen Burstyn all of a sudden, and yet she also shouldn't be dressing like Selena Gomez. I think this dress is a PERFECT bridge of all that.
This outfit might not match the wearer (in my mind she fancies herself more rocker-edgy), but it's TOTALLY cute on its own merits.

Penelope was EXTREMELY FRESH from childbirth at the time of this Oscars ceremony, and I thought this dress was the awesomest way to express (justified) pride in her body.
And, Tina Fey won Best Dressed from y'all for this blue sparkly number that she wore on the telecast at the Globes, the first time they hosted. It's great. L'Wren Scott made a lot of beautiful things, and her contributions to art will be missed at-large as much as the woman in question will surely be missed by her loved ones.
