I understand that there exists a parallel universe in which I hate this dress and everything about it, and make a joke about how it looks like a fungus growing on her like something in the folds of an old shower curtain. But she is WORKING IT for me.

Her makeup looks great, but basically I just could not resist using a pic where she's got a mini-Christoper Walken sprouting from her shoulder. I would totally watch a movie where Abbie Cornish wakes up to find that she has a Christoper Walken permanently attached to her shoulder to give her romantic advice. Someone please make that happen.

Yes, even the illusion netting isn't really bothering me. Sure, it's very Figure Skater Get Gangrene, which admittedly sounds TERRIBLE, but she is somehow MAKING IT WORK. And somewhere, Tim Gunn just woke up in a cold sweat.

There is something sort of mermaid-y in this, in the literal "she might not look out of place sunning herself on a rock and then luring sailors to their deaths with her song" kind of way.

Because I know you love a bag.

[Well Played, Abbie CornishThis might be the best she's ever looked.
