Elizabeth Olsen

Seriously, look at Elizabeth here...

Maggie G

... then see Maggie. It's kind of uncanny to me.

Elizabeth Olsen

Especially because Maggie would totally, totally, totally wear this hairdo. This is the part of the movie where Peter Saarsgard accidentally sleeps with Elizabeth Olsen and then somebody gets stabbed.

The dress here is The Row, of course. She's doing a nice job of keeping it simple, and using the fun hair as its own accessory. I like that she's not copycatting her sisters, but she's also clearly not trying to, like, shave her head and go full Avril Lavigne just to prove to you how different she is. That takes a lot of self-possession. I mean, this is a girl who's grown up -- I assume -- having people make "To Grandmother's House We Go" cracks, or asking her if she was in "New York Minute," or if she ever met Uncle Jesse. A lesser girl would've run straight to Crazytown.

Elizabeth Olsen

In fact, she seems to be having a BLAST. I wish her famous sibs would show the same lust for life. It's really endearing, and frankly, I hope it sticks -- it's refreshing when someone lets go and enjoys herself instead of acting like she's SO SICK OF WORKING and SO OVER IT and all that. You go, Elizabeth Olsen. You might be my new favorite.

Well Played, Elizabeth Olsen
I know Elizabeth Olsen definitely resembles her famous twin sisters, but seriously, if I told you this was Maggie Gyllenhaal, you'd believe me for a second, right? The proof is in the slideshow. But I am also impressed with how Elizabeth does a good job carving out a style for herself using her sisters' clothing lines, without exactly echoing their style -- she's sort of M-K divided by Ashley and multiplied by... well, Maggie Gyllenhaal, really. And there it is again. Watch out, Maggie -- it's never a good day for an actress when a studio exec can say, "We need a younger Maggie Gyllenhaal," and the answer is no longer, "THERE IS NO OTHER MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL."
