I like to think that Emma's expression is saying, "Yeah, he practiced that in our hotel room for THREE HOURS, but I have to admit it's still pretty cute."
As is her outfit. I wasn't sure at first -- I did have the thought, 'Is that thing a diseased tongue?' -- but then I decided it's more like a confetti bib, and I don't know, Andrew Garfield is doing The Running Man at it, and I'm easily charmed.
And HE, I have decided, is telling her, "You are OUTRAGEOUSLY lovely and that confetti bib is ripped from my dreams," so I might HAVE to approve. I don't want to question a man who is so confidently wearing plaid pants.
And now there is ACTUAL confetti, of a sort -- they all seemed to shoot paper "webbing" at the reporters, which the event staff must have really enjoyed cleaning up later.
"Just hang on one more sec, Andrew. You are ALMOST beautiful..."
This works on her, too -- the shapes are assertive on her, in a way that she's pulling off very well, like this ought to be EVERYONE'S casualwear.
Yes, it ISN'T fair to mere mortals, Andrew. Let her have it. ... Oh, who am I kidding? Just make out.
