She looks so CHEERFUL, doesn't she? And not in a kind of smug way where I want to kick her in the shins. See, good hair IS a mood-boost.

Maybe it's the red coat and lipstick, but this blonde bob SCREAMS Local News Anchor to me.

This is a longer light-blonde style, which I think demanded a bit more color from her clothes. To me, it washes her out.

See? These brassier waves looks better on her because she's wearing a dress that gives her skin tone some life. but, they're also not quite as bleached-out as her hair was in the previous photo.

And now we have The Dark Phase, beginning with very long chocolate tresses. I actually don't hate this.

I TOTALLY hate the shorter version. She looks like a random First Lady of History, and not in an awesome way.

On her way back to blonde, she stopped off at red for a brief period (which is common, to give your tresses a break during the lightening process). She didn't stay here long, and I think it's for the best. Red was unremarkable on her. Ummemorable. Indeed, I totally forgot this ever happened until today.

I like the soft blonde waves -- this might be my second-favorite Heigl the one that makes me wonder why MY curls don't do that when my hair is that length, and then I remember she has A Team. And I have A Pair Of Hands.

WHAT HO, HEIGL. This is her haircut now, and boy, do I hate this -- from the style to the color. Is Brigitte Nielsen really somebody we want to be emulating? If Josh Kelley starts wearing Viking hats and a giant clock around his neck, we will know there needs to be an intervention. Although I hope her momager pops by for a hair intervention regardless. This needs to be stopped. I am praying for a wig.
