At first I thought he was wearing Dad Jeans, but after an unseemly amount of time blowing up this picture to stare at His Highness's trousers, I am confident that they are chinos.
From the waist up, he looks great. From the waist down, half the time he looks great and half the time I'm concerned. Those Mysteriously Colored Chinos are giving me wrinkles, William. I'm already losing out on beauty sleep for this trip. (She looks lovely; I love a pattern and god knows I love DVF.)
That these little girls put on their best princess costumes to meet Kate just makes me have more feelings.
A legitimate question from an American: I assume the Girl Guides are basically like the Girl Scouts here in the US. BUT DO THEY SELL COOKIES?
Here is where the pants might have lost me. They might be better in action? They might just have to be his Action Pants. That said, this picture is totally going to end up framed on top of their piano eventually. I should hope it goes without saying, but OMG that is one majestic vista.
You can appreciate its majesty even more without their highnesses standing in front of it. (Don't worry, they're back in the next slide.)
I hope they also get a copy of this picture. "Oh, honey, look. Here's a picture from that time we lurked in a bush. That was a great trip."
I feel like I can hear Kate's interior -- and perhaps exterior -- monologue here, and it is: "Good God, William, please step away from the edge of that cliff!"
There had been a rumor that THEY were going to rappel (or, as all the official schedules called it "abseil," which is a good word and not one I'd heard before) and I think we can all agree that somehow the Queen got wind of that and was like, "HAHAHAHAH no."
"Isn't this so fun? I'm quite glad you didn't fall off that cliff."
