Kate, Wills, and George

This picture is very effective when it comes to defrosting my cold dark shriveled heart, which is basically none of those things anymore DAMN YOU ADORABLE FAT CHEEKS. I cannot resist you! Additionally, the photographers on this trip have really done a great job; the press coverage overall has been stellar, and this picture is just so sweet. If this goes on, I am totally going to start Go Hug Yourself and then what will become of us all?

William and George

I KNEW it was going to be William's turn to hold the baby, and I wish I'd called it on Twitter so I had proof, rather than just thinking about it whilst plucking my eyebrows this afternoon. This is basically too cute for me to stand, and also it makes me laugh that they keep matching his socks to his shoes. George is like, "BORED NOW."

Kate, Wills, and George

Navy blue for all the Cambridges today. This is also a very helpful shot in regards to helping me decide how much George looks like William and the answer is: WAY more than I thought he did, like, three days ago.

Kate, Wills, and George

Nine months old and already shaking hands.

Prince George

I believe he is once again wearing his Queen's Guard sweater, of which I still don't know the provenance, and which I might still want for myself. In other news, I still want to eat his little cheeks, and also it's fun to get to see William's watch in close up, the way we get to eyeball Kate's rings.

Wills and Kate

OH AND ALSO THERE WERE PUPPIES. Did I not mention that this post has babies AND PUPPIES? It does. New Zealand was like, "there is no better way to bid a fond farewell to guests than with TINY ADORABLE PUPPIES." New Zealand, turns you are a GOOD HOST.

Kate and Wills

They were also both given friendship bracelets -- apparently, the puppies were not to keep, as they are meant to become police dogs -- and it cracks me up how delighted William looks with his, all, "Kate! How did they know? I NEEDED a bracelet!"

The Back of Kate's Head

I believe this is similar to the Back of Her Head that we didn't get to see in the last outing. It's also just a great shot of the crowd.

Wills and Kate

I realized you might want a full-length look at her suit, not to mention An Appearance of The Knees. Maybe we should change the name of our new book from The Royal We to The Duchess's Knees. Too weird? You're probably right.

How cute is this shot? We obviously need to hear everything.

Well Played: Kate, Wills, and George’s Royal Tour of Australia and New Zealand, Day Ten, Part I
Today (so far) involved puppies! William holding George! And bracelets! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME, ROYALS? I cannot take it: THOSE ARE MY THREE FAVORITE THINGS. Anyway, it was W&K's last day in New Zealand (which has looked so lovely; I really want to visit and I can't wait for our fictional Fug Nation Wine Cardigan and Bracelet Retreat), and they popped over to the Royal New Zealand Police College and took a stroll through the Civic Center to meet and greet people -- including, I believe, our own Fug National Lipstick Librarian, from whom I hope we get a full report! -- before heading over to the airport to fly off to Sydney. Australia promises a reception at the Opera House and at LEAST one more outfit today alone, so I will be posting again about that at some point (probably quite late in Los Angeles, for our now traditional Midnight Post). Here, Kate is wearing her Rebecca Taylor suit -- all blue suits for the royals this morning, all around! -- which we first saw back in 2012. Taylor is from New Zealand, so that's a nice farewell nod. UPDATED: The final photo now courtesy of our own Lipstick Librarian, who had an excellent vantage point! AS ALWAYS: Our complete coverage lives here; if it seems like you missed Day Nine, it's because they had Day Nine off and presumably spent it sitting around eating Twizzlers and playing with the baby.
