Bear in mind, though, that when I first saw this shot, my concern was that she was wearing a dress covered in My Little Ponies. Which could be INTERESTING but would also be a very Katy Perry direction to take. And we all know that once you head down the Katy Perry Pathway, dollars to donuts you're going to end up at the Oscars with fireworks shooting out of your boobs.

So it's a relief to see that the pattern is actually birds, and it's not at all overwhelming. It helps that the rest of the dress is so conservative -- and I am saying this as a someone with a bird phobia.

Speaking of phobias, I am THRILLED that she doesn't seem to be suffering from a crippling fear of Interesting Shoes -- I don't think we've seen her in a boring one yet, which will make her the REAL hero of Awards Season if she keeps it up.
